Why? They have all the tools, everything necessary for success. Yes, most do succeed. But a minority do not.

"Success is a complicated, multi-forked road and, despite all the books that try to convince you of their secret,
there is no single, simple way to get there.
I've seen a lot of very ordinary-IQ folks succeed wildly. I've seen bright people fail miserably.
I've seen people try harder than humanly possible... and fall on their faces. And I've seen a few lucky stiffs come up with the right idea at the right place at the right time, and score big without being particularly skillful business
There is no single path to success, although persistence is certainly a critical character trait for ultimate success.
Why? Because few people succeed on their first attempt.
The good news, however, is that I can provide some insight into failure...
In the 30 years that I've been teaching, I can certainly see, and have seen over and over and over again, how the seeds of failure are sown. Reasons for failure are more easily, and commonly, identified.
Most failure is ingrained. It's almost programmed (the key word is "almost"). Sure, bad luck might knock you out of the box a couple of times.
But if you persist, you'll succeed. If you fail a few times, you better analyze why you fail. Hard analysis. Face the truths.
Because if you don't, the pattern repeats. And if the pattern repeats, so do the results. Let me explain...
There are guaranteed patterns of failure, things that the same people do over and over again.

But, one way or another, it all comes down to...
We Do It To Ourselves. We Get In Our Own Way.
Let me share, as an example, my #1 Pet Peeve. The double shame of it is that these people (of all people) really SHOULD succeed.
But they don't. And I don't mean at just SBI!, I mean in so many facets of their lives.
They trip over their own shoelaces.
They alienate potential allies with their words and actions.
They are pretentious. They are pedantic. And generally, they are smart, normally a head start on the road to success.
I call these people the "smarter-than-thou" folks, the ones who seem to think it's more important to show how smart they are (and they often are) than it is to USE business success tips that shows how to build their businesses.
I'm sure you can think of co-workers like this. Teammates in sports like this. In the world of Web marketing...
They are the "smarter-than-thou" self-proclaimed Web-savvy marketers or Webmasters who feel that they are too smart to use business success tips "all-in-one" approach and tools. You see...
"They just don't need it." They are too smart for the way that SBI! works, the way that all the tools fit together,
and the way that SBI! simplifies the whole process.
"Heck, e-commerce must be complex to work," they seem to be saying.
They prefer to do it the hard way. Every now and then, a researcher sends me such a post from one forum or another with some "smarter-than-thou" commentary...
So what do I do? I look at the big picture, first...
Invariably, he'll talk about 3 or 4 business success tips and wildly successful sites that he's done without SBI!.
So I pop over to Alexa to see how those sites rank.
Then I laugh.
Then I shake my head.
Because you see...
Their sites score in the millions (or don't even rank at all) at Alexa. SBI! sites, done by raw newbies, outscore them.
Beat them like a drum, actually.
These kind of results...
First-timers. How embarrassing. And yet... the "smarter than thou" don't see it. They'll always fail, because they don't look inside to see what's holding them back.
the "one-up-man-ship" of it all. The chat. The forums. And that's all fine, if this is their hobby, a game.
But Their Business Success Tips Don't Work
And THAT, dear reader, is what it is all about. Doing business... profitably.
And then you have, on the successful side of the same coin, another smart Webmaster -- but this one,
being of reasonable mind and judgment, considers SBI! when he first hears about it.
Open-minded research reveals that it's certainly worth taking a "risk-free" chance. And before you know it...
SBI! user Marc Liron from the U.K., of updatexp.com, is not only a successful SBIer (Top 1% site),
but he is also a Webmaster who is turning away business. He's simply too busy to accept new clients right now. So...
Why does one person succeed while another fails? Same basic intelligence level. Same set of circumstances.
Same set of opportunities.
Maybe success is merely the act of eliminating failure!
All I Know For Sure About Business Success Tips Is...
1) If you fail once, hey!... It happens.
2) If you fail twice, look for a pattern.
3) If you fail three times, a pattern IS there. If you don't find it, stop trying to succeed.
You're not being honest with yourself and you'll likely just keep repeating the pattern.
4) If you do find how you are stopping yourself from succeeding, rectify and then keep trying.
EVERY success has the story of persistence behind it.
E-commerce is not about "playing at business." It IS business. You're in this to build a profitable business,
as efficiently, as ruthlessly, as confidently, as possible.
Yet somehow, some folks seem to lose sight of that. Others constantly worry and whine.
Some can't see the forest for the trees, constantly lost at a useless level of detail. Others have a sense of entitlement...
"the world owes me everything." Others prefer to lie or cheat for short-term gain, but long-term pain. I could go on and on.
We all do it to ourselves, to some degree or another. The key is to recognize it. Ask yourself...
"How Am I Getting In My Own Way?"
Ask a friend... one who's not afraid of telling you the truth. I hope you realize that I'm writing this letter to help you, not to antagonize you. I far prefer to write about success and how to achieve it. And SBI! certainly provides all the tools, the complete vehicle, to get there.
But sometimes, especially for some folks, you have to eliminate "the failure within" before you can power your way
across the finish line to the business success tips you seek.
If you'd like to be doing better at anything (life, e-commerce, etc.), look inside. Eliminate the patterns of failure.
It's not always easy. It can be painful.
But it's the ONLY way to get where you want to be.
Success can be boiled down to a matter of ATTITUDE. And you can control attitude -- that means you have a CHOICE.
That choice starts with you and how you approach life, people and work. And in that vein...
I leave you with an e-mail that I received from a dear friend. I normally delete "stuff like this" due to a lack of time, but I started reading and it pulled me through to the end. Its truth is profound -- I hope it has the same impact on you, especially if you find yourself struggling not just with SBI!, but with life itself.
If THAT is YOU, make today the first day of turning it around.
Because, at the end of the day, we all have the power to choose. Once you choose wisely, and ACT upon it,
good things simply flow from that starting point."
Choose Your Attitude
Michael is the kind of guy you love to hate. He is always in a good mood and always has something positive to say:
When someone would ask him how he was doing, He would reply, "If I were any better, I would be twins!"
He was a natural motivator. If an employee was having a bad day, Michael was there telling the employee how they could look
on the positive side of the situation. Seeing this style really made me curious, so one day I went up to Michael and asked him,
"I don't get it! You can't be a positive person all of the time. How do you do it?"
Michael replied, "Each morning I wake up and say to myself, 'You have two choices today. You can choose to be in a good mood or you can choose to be in a bad mood.
I choose to be in a good mood. Each time something bad happens,
I can choose to be a victim or I can choose to learn from it.
I choose to learn from it. Every time someone comes to me complaining,
I can choose to accept their complaining or I can point out the positive side of life.
I choose the positive side of life.
"Yeah, right, it's not that easy," I protested. "Yes, it is," Michael, said. "Life is all about choices.
When you cut away all the junk, every situation is a choice. You choose how you react to situations.
You choose how people affect your mood. Your bottom line:
"It's your choice how you live life." I reflected on what Michael said.
Soon after, I left the company to start my own business. We lost touch, but I often thought about him when I made a choice
about life instead of reacting to it.
Several years later, I heard that Michael was involved in a serious accident, falling some 60 feet from a communications tower.
After 18 hours of surgery and weeks of intensive care, Michael was released from the hospital with rods placed in his back.
I saw Michael about six months after the accident. When I asked him how he was, he replied. "If I were any better, I'd be
Wanna see my scars?" I declined to see his wounds, but I did ask him what had gone through his mind as the accident took place.
"The first thing that went through my mind was the well being of my soon to be born daughter," Michael replied.
"Then, as I lay on the ground, I remembered that I had two choices: I could choose to live or I could choose to die.
I chose to live." "Weren't you scared? Did you lose consciousness?" I asked.
Michael continued, "...the paramedics were great. They kept telling me I was going to be fine.
But when they wheeled me into the ER and I saw the expressions on the faces of the doctors and nurses, I got really scared. In their eyes, I read, 'he's a dead man.' I knew I needed to take action."
"What did you do?" I asked.
"Well, there was a big burly nurse shouting questions at me," said Michael. "She asked if I was allergic to anything.
'Yes,' I replied. The doctors and nurses stopped working as they waited for my reply. I took a deep breath and yelled...
Over their laughter, I told them, "I am choosing to live. Operate on me as if I am alive, not dead."
Michael lived, thanks to the skill of his doctors, but also because of his amazing attitude.
I learned from him that every day we have the choice to live fully. Attitude, after all, is everything.
"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
After all, today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday."
You have two choices now:
